Darland High School wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work with small groups of students under the direction of a pastoral manager, working to improve behaviour through an established programme. This post is temporary until the end of the summer term, whereupon it will be reviewed .

Darland is a popular and successful co-educational comprehensive school, catering through the medium of English for 640 pupils in the 11-16 age range.   The school is located in a predominantly rural setting within the picturesque village of Rossett, midway between Wrexham and Chester.

 <title>Environmental Health Officer (Additional Licensing)</title>

Through regulation, enforcement, support and partnership working, the Housing Standards Team is working hard to make Wrexham a better and safer place for the variety of people who live in the private rented sector.  To help us to achieve this, we are about to launch the Additional Licensing for Houses in Multiple Occupation scheme.

Joining Wrexham as an experienced EHO with a strong working background in licensing and housing enforcement, you will proactively work with landlords, agents and tenants to encourage responsible renting, promote a positive image of the private rented sector and develop good housing practises.
 
Through your own work you will aim to ensure that every house, apartment and park home in Wrexham is a safe one.  You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the Housing Standards Team by assessing licence applications, undertaking a programme of property inspections, undertaking enforcement activities and advising tenants and landlords of their legal rights.

To meet the requirements of this post it is essential that you have relevant experience and a comprehensive understanding of HMO licensing schemes, the use of the Housing and Health Safety Rating System, and an appreciation of wider strategic housing issues.
