Support Workers CLS x14

The Community Living in Wrexham is continually developing to provide person centred supported living for adults with complex support need. The service is part of the Specialist Learning Disability Team, and is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales. Developments within the service have created the opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to come and join our dedicated team to ensure that high quality support is delivered to people in the service.

As a Support Worker, you will: Support people with learning, sensory, or physical disabilities to enable them to fulfil their person centred plans, promoting positive outcomes and maximising independence. Need a commitment to providing excellent support to assist people to be as independent as possible in all aspects of daily life and in line with their personal support plan. Contribute to individuals physical and emotional well being. Ensure people’s individuality and personal dignity is respected at all times. As a 24 hour / 365 days per year service, be required to work in accordance with the rota which will include evenings, nights and weekends which will attract relevant enhancements. Need good communication skills, including record keeping.

For this post you will need to have a Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 (or equivalent vocational qualification) or a commitment to obtain this within a set timescale following appointment.
