Team responsibilities

  • processing all housing applications (submitted online or manually) made to us (Wrexham Council, as the local housing authority)
  • managing our housing register and making property allocations from this waiting list (in line the allocations policy) 
  • processing Special Needs and Medical Assessment Forms, nominations to housing associations, council garage applications/allocations
  • processing all garage applications (submitted online or manually) made to us (Wrexham Council, as the local housing authority)
  • managing our housing and garage registers and making property allocations from our waiting lists (in line with the allocations policy and procedures)
  • processing all nominations to Housing Associations from our waiting list (more information: other housing options)

Our offices at Lampit Street have a reception which is open for anyone wishing to receive a face to face service, apply for housing in-person, or needing emergency housing assistance.

Reception opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm (appointment only).

Both teams work closely together, but if you are in need of urgent or emergency housing we still advise that you contact the Housing Options team directly.
